Connecting Your First API Key: A Secure Walkthrough

TradingMaster AI is non-custodial. We don't hold your funds. We trade on your behalf via API keys. Setting these up correctly is critical for security.
The Golden Rule: Permissions
When generating an API Key on your exchange (e.g., Binance), you will see several checkboxes.
- ✅ Enable Reading: (Required) Allows us to see balances.
- ✅ Enable Trading: (Required) Allows us to place orders.
- ❌ Enable Withdrawals: (NEVER CHECK THIS)
By leaving "Withdrawals" unchecked, no one (not even us) can remove funds from your account.
Step-by-Step (Binance Example)
- Log in to Binance and navigate to API Management.
- Click Create API. Label it "TradingMaster".
- Complete 2FA verification.
- Edit Restrictions: Check "Enable Spot & Margin Trading".
- Copy Keys: Copy the "API Key" and "Secret Key" immediately. The Secret Key is shown only once!
Connecting to TradingMaster
- Go to TradingMaster Settings.
- Select "Exchanges" > "Binance".
- Paste your keys.
- Click "Connect".
Our system will test the connection. If you see a Green checkmark, you are ready to launch your first bot.
